31 students inducted into National Technical Honor Society


Congratulations to the 31 NSCSD students enrolled in OCM BOCES Career & Technical Education and New Vision programs at the Thompson Road Campus, who were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS): Vivian Allen (Early Childhood Education), Troy Andrews (Culinary Arts), Jessica Bryan (New Vision Medical Professions), Juliana Carter (Cosmetology), James Corrente (Automotive Technology), Aubrey Coyle (New Vision Medical Professions), Jade Crowe (Cosmetology), Derek Eells (New Vision Medical Professions), Donovan Fuller (Culinary Arts), Emily Hoffman (Cosmetology), Charles Hogan (Heavy Equipment), Ethan Hollenbeck (Heavy Equipment), Angela Holowczenko (Cosmetology), Gabrielle Kuersteiner (Cosmetology), Katalina Lawrence (Physical Therapy), Zachary Lyskawa (Construction Technology), Jacob Miscione  (New Vision Criminal Justice), Gavhn Murray (Health Occupations), Jaiden Perry (Automotive Technology), Jayden Porto (New Vision Medical Professions), Mychaela Purdy (Cosmetology), Matthew Rose (Computer Technology), Keegan Ryan (Computer Technology), Virginia Scott (Culinary Arts), Cody Skrocki (Automotive Technology), Brody Snyder (Construction Technology), Arden Starowicz (Laboratory Technology), Antoinette Tredo (Cosmetology), Mallory Wessels (Culinary Arts), Ivan Wolfe (Automotive Technology) and Jonathan Woods (Construction Technology). 


To be eligible for the NTHS, students must maintain a minimum grade average of 85, have strong attendance, receive a teacher recommendation and demonstrate values like respect, responsibility, honesty, leadership, citizenship, skill and service.

In all, OCM BOCES inducted 154 students from across Central New York during a ceremony held at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. During the event, students lit candles symbolizing the seven core attributes of NTHS and received honor cords and tassels to wear at their home district graduations.
