MathCON 2025

Our district's fourth grade students demonstrated outstanding dedication and achievement as they prepared for this year's national MathCON competition. Over the course of five months, 130 students tackled challenging and unique math problems in preparation for the national online assessment, which took place on March 6. Their hard work paid off in a big way. We saw the highest individual score in our district's three year history from KWS Bear Road Elementary's Hannah Guesmia! We had more students score above a 200 - a threshold that places them in approximately the 80th percentile or higher in the nation - then we have ever had.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our students, the support of their families, and the incredible work of our fourth grade teachers. Special thanks to our elementary principals and building representatives: Cassandra Alexander, Jo Andrews, Antonia Bueti, Laura Johnson, Joe Marzullo, Alyssa Rybak, and Michelle Valvo.

Congratulations to all who participated!
