Superintendent message regarding Cicero Elementary School teacher investigation
Important message from Superintendent Schiedo, Tuesday, Dec 3 at 4:00 PMDear North Syracuse Central School District Families,
We have been informed by the Cicero Police Department of an investigation they are conducting regarding allegations of one incident of inappropriate physical force between a teacher and a student at Cicero Elementary School. The school’s resource officer, who is also a Cicero Police Department officer, was immediately involved and is working closely with law enforcement, district administration, and the student’s family to address the situation.
The teacher involved has been placed on administrative leave pending investigation and the North Syracuse Central School District is fully cooperating with the Cicero Police Department. Although we cannot share additional information due to the ongoing investigation at this time, please be assured that the safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority. We are committed to handling this situation with the utmost care and diligence, and to taking appropriate action to ensure our schools remain safe and nurturing places for all students.
