District-wide hurricane relief efforts

Throughout the North Syracuse Central School District, teachers, staff and students have come together to make a difference in the lives of those affected by recent hurricanes. In addition to individual teacher, staff and school building efforts, the North Syracuse Junior High School’s Community Builder’s Club and National Honor Society recently put together a district-wide donation drive to gather essential supplies. Through those efforts, thousands of items were collected from North Syracuse Junior High School, Cicero-North Syracuse High School, the North Syracuse Early Education Program and Gillette Road and Roxboro Road Middle Schools. North Syracuse Junior High School students in the Community Builder's Club and National Honor Society took time to box up the donated supplies on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and prepare them to be shipped. These boxes will be delivered to the affected communities in need by the Compassion Coalition of Utica.
