On Thursday, March 30th, the CNS French Club hosted its’ first annual Painting with a Twist afternoon. Members of the French Club along with their friends attended the painting event in the cafeteria after school, which was put on by “Painting with a Twist”. In the French 4/5 classroom this year, students learn about impressionism, its techniques and the artists who are famous for painting in this style. This is the reason that the “Waterlilies” painting was chosen – as homage to the French Impressionist artist Claude Monet. Students and teachers practiced their painting skills as well as their mustache-making talents. Fun was had by all, and Madame Keane is looking to make the Painting with a Twist afternoon a yearly celebration of French artwork.
